So I've been spending a lot of time checking out electronics reviews...I'll go into the details in a bit.

Amazon's raters seemed to like the Koss headphones refered to simply as "The Plug."

Things I've learned:

• The Good Guys doesn't carry any Koss items. "But we carry Sony and Panasonic," the salesman quickly added. "Does carrying Sony and Panasonic preclude you from carrying Koss?" "Umm...I don't know."



• Interestingly, while Target advertises "The Plug" on their website, the Colma Target doesn't seem to have it.



• The San Francisco Best Buy's phone tree has twisted limbs; I got lost getting transfered from unit to unit on several calls. I ended up giving up and asking for "portable audio" by name, which worked a lot better.
